Our walking tours last about 2 hours and depart from the Shepheards Tavern marker at 46 Broad Street. All reservations must be confirmed and paid no later than one hour before the scheduled start time.

Learn how Charleston came to be. Starting from its founding in the 17th century, and progressing through significant points of its history forming the fabric of today's city. We start at Echo Rock in Waterfront park, and walk through portions of the Old and Historic District for about 2 hours, ending near the Provost Dungeon. This tour is perfect for first-time visitors, seasoned visitors, and local residents alike.
Learn how war and conflicts directly impacted Charleston and shaped it, from early days as a Proprietary Colony to its role in the American Revolution, American Civil War, World War 1 and 2, the Cold War, and present day. Charleston holds a strategic importance that made it a focal point of early wars first-hand, and served in key support roles in the 20th century. This tour will meet at Echo Rock in Waterfront park, and walk through portions of the Old and Historic District where we will see first hand examples of War Coming to Charleston.
